assignment two-3D

three D: the upper 3d drawing mainly shows the seperation of the space, and the lower drawing mainly shows the connection-stairs. these stairs could be seen as soul of this design, it shows the connection between realistic and the thinking world, people could keeping moving between these two spaces but finnally will get to the central space-main room.

assignment two-plan and section

section: this section drawing mainly points out the mirror effects, i picked out several walls and the base to show this effect
plan: this plan mainly points out the light in my building, the whole design is quite open. it is used to fit the idea in precedent painting. in painting, the woman sits back to a big window, the space is relatively open, although the light is quite strong, there is still a shallow on her face. same in this model, the centrol part of it is totally in dark.
in addition, there is also a hierarchy between each space. although the basic shape is a maze. but the height of the walls are different and the space between each walls are also changed.
i used this change to bring people moved between the space.

assignment two-site

This moutain was sitting in shan'xi in china. i prefered to put my work on the hillside of this mountain. the reason i chose this site is that when my buidling sit on it, it looks like the woman sit against the sunshine which like in the painting.

assignment two-painting

painting: hotel room(edward hopper)
narrative: a lone woman sit in hotel room and lost in her thinking
In the painting a woman is sitting on the hotel room bed, there are a number of bagages spread over on the floor straggly, from this point we can find that her thinking is quite complex. in addition, the light shown in the image is quite strong, it could find that this room is quite open. all of the woman's body is under the sun shine but her face is still in the shadow. edward hopper use this contrast to show the depressive atmosphere around the woman. the main point i extract from this paint is the woman lost herself between realistic and thinking.
